New pricing and LTD users

Hi @JennB

If you have received trial on your account or not able to see your plan on the billing page, then seems you have issue with license activation.

Feel free to send the Appsumo PDF to support@activepieces.com and we will fix the plan.

Thanks,
Mo.

I believe there has been a misunderstanding of our situation. We are not AppSumo customers and do not have any AppSumo-related licensing issues. As clearly stated in our previous message, we are existing paying customers who were subscribed to your $1 per 1,000 task plan and were abruptly moved to a trial of your new pricing without notification while in the middle of migrating our workflows from Zapier. Additionally, we were unable to complete this migration due to an ongoing bug with your Grist integration (Workflow Will Not Run Using Grist Trigger Column · Issue #8017 · activepieces/activepieces · GitHub) that remains unresolved.

Your response suggesting we send an AppSumo PDF indicates that our original message was not properly reviewed, which further demonstrates the lack of attention to existing customer concerns that prompted our complaint in the first place. We would like our original paid plan restored, not assistance with AppSumo licensing that doesn’t apply to our account.

Hi @JennB

Sorry there is no way for me to tell the user on the community and this thread is mainly about appsumo, My bad can you send us to support@activepieces.com

We grandfathered the people who were on pay as you go, Please send email and pretty sure the support would make sure it’s smooth.

while we get all this sorted out i have a question a/s tier 1 , if i run out of my 10,000 tasks and i upgrade to the 25.00 a month as a ltd user will i still have access to api access since tier 1 has it but your plus plan doesnt have it so im a bit confused on how i can make this work when it was pay per i didnt have a problem because id run out of my monthly 10000 but now im a bit confused if i use the 25 dollar plus will i use api access to my ltd account also ltd has unlimited flows as of plus has 10 active flows i hate to ask but could you clarify what happens i cant afford the 150 a month for api access its tough

I would appreciate it if you could grandfather us back to the original plan we were paying for, which is the $1 per 1000 tasks. I did send you an email. Thank you.

@ashrafsam Any update on the AppSumo communication or the LTD mapping?

@ashrafsam Thanks for all the hard work building Activepieces, it’s been amazing to watch the platform evolve.

I hope the early supporters who believed in your vision won’t feel sidelined now. We backed Activepieces on a clear promise: LTD users would receive all future Pro plan updates, even if the plan name changed. Now with Plus replacing Pro, it’s only fair that LTD tiers are mapped accordingly, including core features like multiple MCP servers, tables, and agents. These aren’t addons; they’re central to how the platform works today.

Also, just to be clear, no one here is asking for unlimited tasks. The original LTD plans were always tied to task limits, not the number of active workflows. It would be completely fair to keep run limits in line with the plan tier each LTD user purchased.

We’re not trying to get more than we paid for, just what was promised. Trust is everything, and honoring that trust matters more now than ever, trust is hard to win and easy to lose. Please don’t overlook the people who helped you get here.

I’m not sure how you are interpreting that we get much more than we bought if key features and aspects are limited vs what we assumed we were buying into based on the information on the appsumo deal page?

Maybe I clearly don’t understand anything about how similar platforms work but what exactly are we supposed to be happy about with “Unlimited” flows when we are now “Limited” to 1 MCP, 1 Table and 5 Agents? How am I supposed to make use of these unlimited flows and think yes, that sounds perfect.

I’m not sure why and not trying to be rude but this sounds like gaslighting.

Why not explain to us why the plan was changed from what was in the terms and exactly how having the new limits with “unlimited” flows helps us use this for more than a handful of options compared to what this tool is marketed as?

Considering that I can’t find anyone in this thread who has stated that your decision and the LTD plan limits they have are great or even make sense, I think it’s odd that you keep pushing back? I mean we are all adults and approaching this logically would be the obvious thing unless there is a reason why that isn’t the case?

In that situation, I would say that LTD users should stop barking up this tree because it means the terms won’t be met and no amount of complaining is going to do anything considering the AP team activley moderates comments about this on their socials. There’s no need to hide if you believe you are doing the right thing imo.

Patiently waiting for some (hopefully) good news here. I’m ready and excited to make some Agents - let’s get this done, AP! :rocket:

Agree. Keep limits on runs and a fair amount of MCP servers, tables, and agents.

No compromises. This was a fair deal. We paid, and we should get what we paid for.

The agreement was for:
“All future Activepieces Cloud Pro Plan updates.
If Plan name changes, deal will be mapped to the new Plan name with all accompanying updates.”

I barely use the service, but I truly hope that someone is already working on a class-action lawsuit to make a clear example of what happens when a contract is breached.

This is to ensure there is less of this kind of practice in the future.

Seems like a great example of how can you tell your are American without telling you are American…

The team is working on a solution with AppSumo, they have been very transparant about this and I believe they will come up with a great solution for everyone. The focus should be on a Win-Win situation, not a Win/Lose or a Lose/Lose as that doesn’t hold any winners.

What does “they are working on a solution” even mean? Did something suddenly change? Have our agreements stopped meaning anything? When I paid, I was charged the full price, and no one offered a discount because the product was, and still is, of very poor quality. I’m using activepieces.com at 2% of my limit, and yet I’m reading that I cost them too much.

Maybe you’ve forgotten, or maybe you were just lucky, but many of us here have had our accounts disabled without any notification. Businesses lost real money. Activepieces demanded proof of purchase from AppSumo. Is this a normal way to treat customers? Does the company not have a database of its own clients? Or can’t it request the data from AppSumo?

Have you seen how many times, just in this thread, people have written that their business processes were halted because of sudden changes? Without any notice.

After something like this, how can anyone possibly do business with this company? How could anyone recommend their services to a partner? Do you even care how you are treated?

I am prepared to lose my money, but I will be glad if this example teaches the business the lesson it needs to learn. This shouldn’t just be let go without consequences.

You need to learn to stand up for yourself Bram, this post made me cringe.

So after all this feedback the final result seems to be:

  • Unmapped deprecated plan behind the barn
  • Backflip on what was sold by Appsumo & ActivePieces

If you have an Appsumo Plus membership, consider cancelling renewal and listing this as the reason.

Is this legit, @ashrafsam ? Looking at the Activepieces AppSumo page, that update from Amy allegedly was made in April, but I’m not sure if that’s just a bug on AppSumo.

Hoping that’s not the real update

@Jqw The date shown is from an earlier update, but the text of the post itself has indeed been updated to the above unfortunately. I compared the new update with the previous one to confirm.
