[Resolved] Issue in Google API Affecting Google Sheets Trigger

Hello,

We’ve recently received multiple reports about Google Sheet “New Row” triggers not firing correctly. After looking into it, we’ve found that the issue is related to the Google Drive API.

Investigation

The Google New Row Trigger relies on the Google Drive API to notify Activepieces when a Sheet is updated. Under normal conditions, Google sends an event whenever the file changes, which then triggers the flow. However, during our testing across different setups, we confirmed that Google sometimes fails to send this update event. When that happens, Activepieces never receives the notification and therefore, the trigger doesn’t run.

Next Steps & Impact

We are still trying to find a public announcement from Google to understand the impact of the issue.

Workaround

Please use the Schedule Trigger + Get New Row(s) Action as it doesn’t depend on Google sending the event and periodically checks the rows.
