Great. So, is an MCP tool call going to count towards my monthly execution quota?

well i knew this was coming, that’s why i was slowly leaving automations.

No, an MCP tool call will not count towards your monthly execution quota.

It works really well so far! Great addition. If you’d like to see how it works in action, I made a video on MCP with Cursor -

The custom api function doesn’t work; it keeps returning different errors.Maybe I use it in the wrong way. What is it for?

Hi @Gamal I have the same issue as @Stephane_Leforestie1. It btw worked great the first time but when I restarted claude again afterwards as i linked more Apps it start giving this issue.

Unfortunately it looks like it’s ‘running’ but after a minute or so, it give an error that it can’t connect. Please see video below as reference. als it says it’s running but it’s not connected, in case you need more details please reach out to me via Discord, I can provide you more logs.

have the same issue - it blocked me to test the MCP more deeper

Hi there, we are currently investigating issues with Claude Desktop, for the time being, could you do the following:

  1. Remove the MCP config on Claude.
  2. Restart Claude.
  3. Add the MCP config on Claude.
  4. Restart Claude.
  5. See if you can call a tool using Claude now.

We noticed that for some reason Claude disconnects the MCP server and we are trying to figure out why it happens.

Hi @Gamal

I will send you a video with all the details via DM, I have the same problem.

If i follow your proces it works, but after restarting Claude again, the issue comes up. This is also part of the video

Also the logs will possibly help you in finding the issue.

Please see DM

Hi Gamal, I’ve tried your method
It has worked for 5 minutes and I was able to test MCP → great thing for me
But after 5 minutes, it is down again

Hi everyone, just to tell you I’am testing MCP on Claude’s macOS app for 5 min now, it seems to work… I keep testing that later and will tell you

Hi @Stephane_Leforestie1,

Does it also keep working if your restart now?

KR Bram

I return on it and i will tell you soon

screenshot, you can see @Bram , config seems to be OK but I receive a message “no internet connexion”
(I confirm I have an intrnet connection and Claude is running fine for simple chat without action needed in MCP)
So : No it’s always buggin

Hi everyone,
I’m new here and really excited about the MCP release—thank you!

I was wondering if there are any plans to add ChatGPT/OpenAI (especially Custom GPTs) as a built‑in MCP client?

It would be fantastic to call our own GPTs directly from ActivePieces without extra middleware. Thanks for any insight, and happy to help test if needed!

Did you find a solution for Claude macOS? Mine seems to run fine until I trigger it, and then it fails… so I can’t setup any workflows with it.

Also for anyone who knows, maybe @Bram, inside my self-hosted activepieces dashboard, the MCP url for claude is a DIFFERENT n-grok URL than my forwarding URL.

Do I use what the dashboard provides me or change to the n-grok forwarding URL I plugged into my environmental variables? I have tried both with no success.

Hi @Jordan_Urbs,

No solution yet, I shared all my details wit @Gamal which is looking into this issue why it’s disconnecting.

I am on the cloud so not familiar with anything self-hosted related. maybe Gamal can provide more details or someone else from the team?
