What's the plan for the ActivePieces community forums?

Hi,

I’ve been working with AP for a little while now and it has been quite tricky.
The standards all work smoothly - but there are some more complex things (concepts / documentation / tech details / etc.) where I’d like to see more details.

Is there any plan to add some dedicated resources to the community or support the getting started phase more?

Hello Kishan,

the getting started was fairly simple.
After all, it’s mostly a docker topic + a few environment variables.

The core concepts are outlined as well. It’s from a developers point of view with a nice and fairly simply explanation - all good.

Now, I’d be at the beginning and have an AP version up and running and will be able to build a few test workflows.

  • For the individual pieces there is no individual documentation. There is only a list with a try now cta. But documentation / best practice / example / screenshots or similar for an individual piece isn’t available (unless I didn’t find it).

Then, I’ve built a few flows and want to start with backups etc.

  • I didn’t find too much info on what’s best practice / working well here. There seems to be a gitsync and sth. like list flows via API if I want to use sth. else but github. Is this the way to go?

Further more, I assume, some pieces are still in development - or in an MVP stage. HTTP request is very essential for me, since it solves basically all integration needs if they don’t exist as a finished piece.

  • Is there some versioning update or just the feature requests option for improving current pieces?

As for the community it seems to be fairly non existent. I don’t expect or demand free support here. But so far, many of my questions for help are unanswered. That leaves me with the impression, that APs community is either not helpful / extremely small or that very few people are using AP in a production setup and could help.

  • What to do about the community? Plenty of topics with 0 replies.

And to continue / going forward, I’d need to decide on a stable production environment.

  • Any docs / experience of how to grow with AP / how to deploy it in production?
