OPEN LETTER TO THE CEO Re: Appsumo

You wont give a platform to your customers that want to talk to you.
You continue to ignore and shut down any and all dialog on this issue.

Thats an odd approach for an open-source developer.

The core of this issue is not about terminology or product features—it’s about trust, expectations, and honoring commitments made during the LTD campaign.

Key points to clarify:

  1. Plan Parity:
The main promise during the AppSumo campaign was “all future Pro Plan updates.” If the plan names changed, we expected to be mapped to the equivalent tier. Current limits and features of the new “Plus” plan are significantly higher than what LTD users receive, which feels unfair given our early support.

  2. Features vs. Products:
Whether you classify agents, MCPs, tables, and similar additions as “features” or “products,” these are core parts of the automation tool we bought into.

  3. Transparency & Communication:
Open communication is not just about defending your position—it’s about acknowledging where things may have gone off track and being clear with your early supporters about what we can expect moving forward.

  4. Upgrade Path:
If you’re unable or unwilling to provide full “Plus” parity, please offer a reasonable, affordable one-time upgrade or add-on option for LTD users. Pushing us directly to monthly plans at current rates doesn’t respect our early bet on your product.

  5. Plan Security:
We need assurance that our current plan limits and features won’t be downgraded again as your product evolves.

Please let your customers talk to you about the issues you’ve created.

  1. Your AppSumo plans compare perfectly to our free plan now. Would you be open to get the new products removed from your accounts? Let us know.
  2. Nope. Check out our competitors, these are not essentials and most competitors don’t have them. Plus, you got access to them.
  3. We are transparent, we didn’t hide anything.
  4. We’ll look into this.
  5. What do you mean by downgrade? We never downgraded any accounts.

Closing this topic as our team is busy creating value rather than engaging in endless conversations.
