Actions I’d Like to See:

  1. Create New Record in Glide App: Automatically add a new row in a Glide App table when triggered by external services or data.
  2. Update Existing Record: Update specific fields in an existing row based on unique identifiers (like a user ID or order number).
  3. Delete Record: Remove a row from a Glide App table based on specific conditions.
  4. Send Notification via Glide: Trigger notifications within a Glide app to alert users of important updates or changes.
  5. Sync Data from External Sources: Sync data from other apps, such as Google Sheets or Airtable, into Glide’s database in real-time.

Triggers I’d Like to See:

  1. New Record Added in Glide: Trigger an automation when a new record is added to a specific table in Glide.
  2. Record Updated in Glide: Trigger workflows when specific fields in a Glide table are updated.
  3. User Activity in Glide: Trigger automations based on user interactions, like form submissions, button presses, or sign-ups within the app.
  4. Specific Date or Time Trigger: Automate actions based on time-based events, like scheduling notifications or tasks from within Glide.

Use Case in a Real Business Setup:

  • Managing Customer Orders: In a business that uses Glide to manage customer orders, I would like to automatically add new orders to the system when a customer submits a form on our website. I’d also like to sync order updates from our CRM back into Glide to keep our data unified. When an order is marked as “Shipped” in Glide, a notification could be sent to the customer, and any relevant data updates (like tracking numbers) could be pushed back to our other systems, such as a Google Sheet or email campaign manager.
