Get ticket in gitlab when google calendar event start

Hello ActivePieces Support Team,

I am currently working on an automation that involves creating a GitLab ticket based on events in Google Calendar. The desired functionality is as follows:

  • Trigger: When a Google Calendar event starts (i.e., at the specified start time of the event, regardless of when the event was created), a new ticket should be created in GitLab.

So far, I have successfully set up the automation to create a GitLab ticket whenever a new event is created in Google Calendar. However, I am unable to modify this flow to trigger the ticket creation only when the event begins (as per the event’s scheduled start time).

Could you please guide me on how to achieve this? If this is not currently possible with ActivePieces, is there a workaround or a different type of approch to reach such functionality?

Hello @Francesco_Veroli ,

Currently, Google Calendar piece has a trigger that activates when a new event is created . I will add this as feature request to add “New Event Begins” trigger for it.

Happy new year !! I have added the trigger to the Piece Enhancement Roadmap. I will update you once it is implemented.
