Intermittent failed run: Concatenate piece

I had opened this topic few days back. Upgrading text helper / Concatenate to v 0.6.5 helped in getting most of the runs to work.

This error popped-up again this AM. I retried the failed run and it worked.

Is there a serverfarm in which this node module is missing on a particular server? Happy to send more info if it helps narrow down that machine.

same error is happening multiple times a day now

I have the same error.

I haven’t found a way to raise attention to ActivePieces support team. 95% of my daily runs that use the concatenate piece work. Degraded level of maintenance :frowning:

Hi @Tecboss, @Plato39, apologies for the lack of updates here, and thanks for your patience!

We’ve identified the root cause. The issue is intermittent and isn’t related to the Concatenate action itself. One of our cloud workers has an incomplete jsdom dependency in its shared cache, causing Text Helper actions to fail whenever they run on that worker. This explains why most runs succeed and retries usually work.

The fix has already been merged: fix(engine): force reinstall piece when require fails by MrChaker · Pull Request #16106 · activepieces/activepieces · GitHub

With this fix, workers will automatically reinstall a piece if it fails to load, allowing affected workers to recover.

The fix will be included in our next cloud deployment.

In the meantime, retrying failed runs should work. If you need to avoid these failures entirely, you can temporarily replace the Concatenate action with a Code step to join your strings.

Thanks for the workaround suggestion. Glad to hear that the bug has been found. Hopefully cloud deployment fix happens soon. I’m still getting the same error as of 10/8/26 1:30EST.
